I have a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad habit of eating before I go to bed. It doesn’t matter what it is, but I.Must.Have.A.Bed.Time.Snack!!! I don’t really know when it started, or why I do it, but I have been late night snacking for a while. I’ll even have something when I’m not hungry. Which, really is stupid. Especially because my useless munchies are usually crappy stuff.

So, tonight I’m going to bed with nothing. Because I’m not hungry, and because I need to stop sometime!!! So, this is the night. Bed with no snack. Don’t tell my belly. Maybe it won’t know that I’m going to sleep!


Everyone else is doing it so why shouldn’t I? I am a mom to 3 kids. I like them, most other people like them, and I think they are pretty cool most of the time. They also drive me crazy, make me yell more than ever before in my life, and long for the day when they grow up and move out. My husband works, A LOT, and I sometimes feel like a single parent. My hats off to real single parents, because it totally sucks eggs!

So, why am I here?? Well, I’m here to unwrap, as in shed, as in get rid of this mommy weight that is bringing my mood down and my pants size up (Way Up!)

I successfully lost 12 pounds in 3 weeks in October of 2008. During the 4th week I found out I was pregnant(shocked is an understatement). Well, that surprise just turned 2, and I still weigh the same amount I did when I was 9-months-pregnant with her :/

It’s not that I can’t do it. It’s not that I won’t do it. It’s that I don’t want to. If I start, I have to keep going. Its hard work, and I don’t really like hard work. Plus, food is Yumm-o! And, I have no accountability. My husband loves me just the way I am, and he’s not stupid enough to comment on my Mom Fluff.

So, that’s where this blog thingy comes in. I have some amazing motivators in my virtual world. I have some amazing motivators in my real world. Now I just have to take advantage of them!! I also need some accountability, and so, here I am. All 5’3″, 175lbs of me.

I’m not a fan of numbers where weight is concerned, but I am a fan of smaller sizes. So, I’m starting today in a snug 16 and headed for a roomy 10. I’ve only been a 10 one other time in my life and that was 12 years ago. Can I do it? Probably. Do I want to? Yes. Am I committed? No, but again, that’s why we’re here!
